The Step7 Software Version 15 (V16) is a comprehensive set of software tools for developing and debugging programs for the Siemens S7-1200, S7-300/400, S7-1500 programmable controllers.

Applied Controls, Inc. has put together an introductory course to the newly introduced Siemens “Step7 V16” Software, commonly referred to as the “Portal” version.

In this two-day course, we explore the navigation methods used in a Portal project to give the user an overall view of the projects he will develop. Features of device setup, I/O configuration, and Profibus/Profinet networks and the common “tools” in programming relay ladder logic.

(March 19, 2020)

SIMATIC WinCC V16 (TIA Portal) is used to configure nearly all SIMATIC operator devices.

In this one-day session, we will be exploring techniques to build and navigate through graphical screens that depict data from the PLC’s, review the use of recipes and reports, configure user names and passwords, demonstrate multilingual capabilities and show the setup and display of alarms.
